Jelly’s Wearables are Sweet!

May 6th, 2010 — 7:00am

I have had a real sweet tooth lately. Which reminded me about this gorgeous business that I’ve known about for several years that is owned by a family friend. The Australian site Jelly’s Wearables sells cute jewellery and accessories made with real lollies! But you can’t eat them any more as they’ve been treated to give them a long life as fashion items.

I always say that I never want to grow up completely. My gran and my mum have always had the playful child-like element in their personalities and its endearing and fun to be around. I want to always spontaneously decide to roll in a pile of leaves just because I want to. (The adult in me would like to inform you that the last time I did that I permanently stained my pants. The child in me would like to rebut and close the debate with a defiant “so what?”)

Jelly’s Wearables’ creations are for the kid in us. Or for the kids in our lives. I think I’ll start buying these for my friends’ babies when they get a little older. I’ll be the “cool Auntie” who buys cool presents. And rolls in the grass with them.
