To Do: A Capsule Wardrobe

March 2nd, 2010 — 11:56am

Just yesterday I was watching an episode of Gok’s Fashion Fix whilst doing other things around at home. I loved the theme of helping the lady featured to narrow down to a working, fashionable capsule wardrobe of 24 items. I am drawn to the concept of simplifying anything. Also, the focus on buying items that work in an existing wardrobe is important as opposed to ending up with a wardrobe full of stand out items that can’t be mixed. We’ve all done it, haven’t we? A capsule wardrobe is also brilliant inspiration for a travel wardrobe. Yes, travelling light is not my specialty.

So, imagine my pleasure to discover my blogger friend My Edit is participating in a Spring Capsule Wardrobe Challenge started by The Small Fabric of My Life. I’ll be stalking these lovely ladies this week for inspiration now that Autumn is here and the cooler months are lurking in the distance. Let me know if you find any more participants! I’d love to do this next time!
