An Affair With Fashion

One person I look to for inspiration for An Affair With Fashion with colour, individuality and thrifty prowess is the lovely Indiana Adams. Indiana is from Austin, Texas USA and has a hilarious blog called Adored Austin. Reading it makes me smile. I love that Indiana doesn’t take herself too seriously, has fun with fashion and is a proud hunter of bargains from op shops. I too love to find something in an op shop that can be applied to the current fashion trend.

Speaking of current trends. Do you like metallic studs on blazers? I know it’s summer, but I’m sure there are others like me who still need a jacket at night time in a restaurant or at the movies. Please tell me there are?

Indiana occasionally likes to dabble in being crafty and it really paid off with her take on the metallic studded jacket. Literally. She made the blazer below at a total cost of US$14. I love it and so does my budget! If you follow her tutorial (and learn from her injuries!) you will see it’s totally do-able.
